Trump Indicted, Again! Former President Faces 7 Charges Over Classified Records Handling

Donald Trump indicted again 7 charges

Former President Donald Trump announced on social media that he has been indicted on charges related to his handling of classified national security records. He disclosed that he has been summoned to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday.

Although the exact charges were not specified, Trump’s attorney mentioned that the Espionage Act and a federal statute on obstruction of an official proceeding were listed in the summons. The indictment was returned by a grand jury, and Trump was informed of the news by his attorney, Todd Blanche.

Trump, who has been residing in his New Jersey golf club, has started fundraising and criticizing the charges and the Justice Department. The investigation, overseen by special counsel Jack Smith had been progressing towards the charging phase for weeks.

Trump posted this 4 minute video response on his blog (and just blocked our site from embedding his posts 🤷) where he lashed out. He also added this comment pleading his innocence:

I AM AN INNOCENT MAN. THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS TOTALLY CORRUPT. THIS IS ELECTION INTERFERENCE & A CONTINUATION OF THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

Update: The initial reporting of 7 charges was erroneous. Trump has been indicted on a mouth-dropping 37 counts. The Justice Department has unsealed the indictment and there are clear pictures of the all boxes in different locations at Mar-a-Lago, including one in the bathroom by a toilet.
